<p>Looking to stay in-state or atleast in the northeast. I cannot spend more than $20,000 on tuition. </p>
<p>From what I understand, accounting majors don’t need a prestigious college. However, a strong business school or an urban setting will allow for contact with recruiters and internship opportunities.</p>
<p>CUNY-Baruch, SUNY-Buffalo, Binghamton, Albany are fine options.</p>
<p>If you’re planning to work with the Big 4 in NYC after graduation, realize they see thousands of resumes per year.</p>
<p>If you’re serious about pursuing accounting, the five year Integrated Masters of Accountancy program at University of Wisconsin - Madison is perceived as one of the top ten programs in the nation. You will pay out of state tuition, but if you look into the program you will see that the money you will make out of the program is EASILY worth it.</p>
<p>But you will not earn tens of thousands more from attending there. The alumni profiles are nearly identical for Wisconsin and SUNY-Binghamton.

<p>Baruch will give you far more contacts, and far more internship opportunities virtually immediately than any of the out-of-state schools, and will cost you tens of thousands less each year.</p>
