Ive just recently decided to major in Architecture but it turns out that I registered for AP Chem along with 3 other AP classes. Do you think it would still be worth taking it?

If you're interested in chemistry, then you should. It might not be your field, but if you passed the AP exam, you might get a college credit that counts toward your graduation requirement. Unless you really have anything else to take instead of AP chem, I think it's still worth taking.

It's really up to your interest. Like, I'm probably going to be a science-related major, but since I'm very interested in learning US history, I signed up for APUSH this year even though I don't think I would ever use that in my life. Learning is free in highschool, learn what you want to learn.

and of course, if you aren't really into chemistry, then you should switch out; then there's no way you should take it and probably you won't perform very well if you're not interested in the subject itself.

hey l41n,
I also plan to major in architecture (and if you are you should check out this other thread: "Architecture?") but anyway I took the Chem AP this spring (2005), the class I took wasn't really meant for taking the AP so my teacher was like if anyone wants to take it I can do some 2hr sessions on sundays in march and april to cover the extra material and I was like why not so I took it with like 7 other kids and I got a 4 and then I looked into arch. program requirements and realized I'll probably never use it but it was worth a try and who knows maybe I'll change my mind later (after hearing the brutal truth in the other thread) haha so in conclusion, I think you should go for it... why not?

alright. then ill give it a shot. thank you for your insights.
