I am majoring in business but am thinking about becoming a teacher. I know there are the most openings in math and science, and I can pass the certification to teach those subjects. Will schools hire me to teach a subject if I do not have a bachelor's degree in that area? And would my employment chances improve if I got a master's degree in education?

Most if not all states require teachers to have significant coursework in the subjects they teach. Check with your state department of education for specifics, but it’s usually at least a minor. You will also need teaching pedagogy courses, which you can get with a master’s degree.
