Majoring in Public Health for UNDERGRAD?

Recently I've been interested in the Public Health department for undergrad...is there anyway I can major in this? I looked through some "Majors offered" lists on college websites and they didn't seem to have the major "Public Health." I guess they don't offer it? The specific colleges I'm talking about are the UCs, rochester, and vanderbilt.

I used to want to be a public health major....

One thing I can say to you: good luck. Very few schools offer it.

When I was looking at the major, I remembered finding programs at Johns Hopkins, Central Michigan, UIUC, USC, and Ithaca College.

Also: majoring in communications can be a good preparation for the career (or graduate study), if your school doesn't offer PH.

D1 was interested in public health, but wasn't interested in most of the schools that had it an undergrad degree. She's majoring in Philosophy and will look into it again for grad school if she's still interested. She came close to choosing BU for it though.

Berkeley has an undergraduate degree in Public Health:

UC Berkeley School of Public Health

East Tennessee State University College of Public & Allied Health

University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill
UNC School of Public Health - Academic Departments and Programs

I know someone who got a Public Health MA from Carolina and he majored in Sociology as an undergraduate.
