Majoring in something with computers

Hello, I just joined this thread and i'm currently a HS junior looking at colleges and what to major in.

My whole life i've always been interested in computers and software. I've built many computers, have done many repairs, and have taught a lot to people about them.

It would be great to major in something with computers.

Theres only one restriction.. it has to lead to a well paying job. I know that you should enjoy what you do and not worry about money, but I don't want to have to worry about money in the future so it would be great if I can find a major in computers that pays well.

Also, I don't know if this means much, but I'm also very good at math and with numbers. My favorite subject is math and it is by far the strongest.

What should I major in?

Computer jobs (software engienering) pay well, but there is tons of outsourcing and competition from lower priced imported labor.

yeah thats what i’ve been hearing, but i’ve also heard that certain computer jobs aren’t being outsourced. I’m kind of not really sure what to think of this and don’t want to be screwed over in the future. any more suggestions?

Do something involving computational applications in one of the sciences, e.g., bioinformatics, computational biology, etc. or an applied field like robotics.
