I was looking at what majors I might be interested in for college and I was wondering what (if any) career options they provide?
Global/International Relations
Communications
Public Relations

I know I want to do something with people and stuff like that, but other than that I am totally lost.

Government, law (after law school), business, media/journalism.

These are pretty general majors. You should take classes in those areas during college and see which you like best. You should do related ECs, and internships that are relevant to the career (internships are key).

Are you still in high school? From profile stalking, it seems you are a rising junior, which is pretty early to be settling on a major.

Take related classes, like Econ, Gov, English, especially AP/honors level, etc… Do related extracurriculars, like debate, model UN, student govt, whatever you find interesting.

Do internships over the summer; a lot of politicians typically have internships in their offices. If not, a good summer internship is to email your local politicians asking if you can work in their office for free. Most will be more than happy (since it’s free). You can also maybe work with law offices (but this tends to be boring filing work), or other opportunities. If there’s a university nearby, oftentimes professors doing research in humanities fields will need people to help with library research, etc. You should email expressing your interest and ask if they could accept an assistant.

Keep in mind that for these internships, they’re typically not advertised. YOU have to ask for them.
