I was just wondering what all the seniors of '06 plan on doing with there lives. List your major and why you want to major in it ..... i'll start

Im majoring in chemical engineering basically b/c i always liked biology and chemistry but biologists and chemists dont make enough money.... yea i know not a lot of chemistry is involved but whatever

I want to double major:
Engineering - either Mechanical or Aerospace because I'm such a math/science nerd
And English - because I'm fascinated with writing/reading

psychology with a premed track
or neuroscience
or sociology

I'm just interested with the way people think and behave because I've always been the 'sharp' one that can practically summarise what a person is like, just by their looks.. (like, NOT stereotypically.. eg, I wouldnt call someone with braces/acne/glasses/badbreath = geek). I can just tell how one behaves by certain movements and stuff.

I've just always been interested in human nature i guess

What I would like:
English w/ concentration in Creative Writing & minor in German
(I want to become editor for a magazine or books)

My dad has told me the above will lead me to poverty over 80 million times, so, I have changed it to...

International Business w/ German and a certificate or minor in Creative Writing (I can do this at my first choice, American U)

Or Intern'l Relations w/ Economics & German- two colleges I'm applying to are complete liberal arts and don't have anything more than business administration

shrugs I need a job that can give me some money if I want to continue owning/riding horses on the side. I'm honestly not sure how much I want to go into business...hence why I choose the intern'l side of things...I do enjoy learning about foreign countries and such.

im thinking about pre-med but the stories kind of scare me... i doubt chem. engineering is any diff now that i think about it... oh well apps already sent so its too late now

I'm gonna study Athletic Training, and probably go on to Physical Therapy. If not Physical Therapy, then Physical Education--Teaching Option. My parents are strongly against me becoming a PE Teacher (i've heard "No daughter of ours with a 3.9 gpa is gonna be a frickin PE Teacher" more times than i can count) but I love sports and my PE teacher has been awesome these 4 years. Anyways, enough of my rant.

I'm majoring in biochemistry because I plan on getting my PharmD after my undergraduate years, and I wanted something chemistry-intensive, but with some biology mixed in too. I have 2 colleges that are pharmacy programs, so I'd be getting my PharmD in 6 years, still not sure about which path.

Double major in political science and economics. I'm really itnerested in international relations so this will give me a good foundation for grad school/studies

I want to major in film/media studies, or advertising design (and work in the film industry). I also might double major in a language (german, russian, or chinese).

well, so far i've applied as a communication studies major (emphasis on mass comm) which everyone seems to pass off as a pointless or easy major, but i find it really interesting, not to mention increasingly relevant. i want to eventually be in some creative position--though not neccesarily creatively driven, but be more in charge of artists, designers, etc.

i want to double major and would love to with photography, but where i've applied ed has practically no photo classes, so it could end up being anything from art history to political science to european history. who knows.

of course this will probably all change once i actually get there.

Neuroscience (or biology with a concentration in neuro, or something similar) - Some of the topics that involve how the brain works hit very close to home and so it peaks my interest. And, I've read in popular science magazines about memory pills and some other things... blah blah. I won't, however, become a Pre-Med student.

Math - I've had a weak background in math in the past and this year, I have a really good teacher... I'm not too sure about this. I had always been interested in math but often had become discouraged from pursuing it for 1) lack of motivation to self-study and 2) poor teachers. But, now I am feeling more comfortable with the subject and actually enjoying it.

Gah! It is too soon to really decide. In the future, I just want to teach students - I really don't care about the subject. :o

I'm amending my statement. I'm considering double-majoring (with the biochemistry) in psychology. I think it's extremely interesting, and I might want to become a psychologist if I find that I don't want to go to pharmacy school afterall.

JimmyEatWorld...link doesn't work, but was it the PostSecret card "I'm going to law school to postpone figuring out what I want to do..." or something like that?
