i have some questions about choosing majors at usc.

if i apply to a different college i.e. marshall, and i get rejected from that school, is it still possible for me to be accepted into college of letters & science?
or would it be safer to just apply to college of letters & science?

also, how difficult is it to get into marshall school? i have somewhat high SAT & subject tests but my gpa is very average/low (but i show an upward trend)?

and how popular are the following majors: mathematics/economics and international (global) business?

Yes, if you put "undecided" as your second choice.

It is difficult to get into all schools at USC. (See latest Freshman Profile.) Marshall looks for different qualities than other schools. For example, they want to see leadership experience and strong math scores.

The Marshall School of Business is a top ten undergraduate business school. In a printed brochure the Class of 2011 GPA was 4.10. Perhaps cc411 has some later statistics regarding admission.

You cannot be selected if you do not apply.

If you don't get into your first choice school/major, they decide you for 2nd. If you don't get in for 2nd, they'll decide you for Undecided. But if your 2nd is College of Letters & Science and you don't get in, not really a big chance you'd get in for Undecided either..
