Majors/Programs?

There are so many programs to apply for at Penn.

Will applying for an accelerated/joint degree hurt my chances of getting into the school of arts and science (the main college?).

There is a box that says if u are defered from the programs, you can still be considered for single degrees. I was wondering if the chances of getting into the college are the same as if you originally applied for the college only.

Additionally… does having an “undecided” major hurt you at ALL? Please be honest… all the counselors at my school keep saying it doesnt, but counselors are also very optimistic people who dont always tell the truth.

no, go ahead and apply joint if you are really interested. the pool is much more competitive on the other hand.

i meant... if i apply joint and get rejected, are my chances of getting a single degree (college of arts/science) acceptance the same as if i initially applied for the single degree only?

you chances at the single degree program will not be affected.
