Hi im going to UCSC next year and i am thinking about declaring my major in politics or legal studies because im thinking about going to law school. However, i was hoping someone could tell me if these majors are impacted and if these majors are any good(professors, class size, etc). Let me know if their are any other good majors out their don't mention majors like biology or chemistry. pretty much hated science during high school. thanks!

Very much impacted. And to make it worse, the budget cut might cut a bunch of classes and professors. Why not major in mathematics or philosophy? Math and philosophy consistently rank among the top five for law school admission rate. Politics and Legal Studies are almost worthless to law school (low rank, surprisingly), not to mention succeeding in life.

thanks i look into philosophy. i was also wondering if anyone could tell me about the anthropology major at UC Santa Cruz?

Based on orientations, chat with my friends, and researching a bit about it not too long ago, our anthropology program here is I’d say ranked among the top within humanities department. It’s our “safe” program, meaning that plenty of classes are offered, more than most of other humanities programs. You should research a bit more yourself.
