Originally my plan was if I attended BU I would major/minor in poli sci and history. I went to an informational meeting, and International Relations caught my eye. How enjoyable is this major?(only answer if you have experience) and how competitive is it to get into?

I am not an IR major so I have nothing on the experience front. In terms of getting in, you get in by the school not the major itself. IR, poli sci, and history are all in CAS. Undecided would be as well. You really should take the intro classes that interest you. That will show you better than anything else. Inside the College of Arts & Sciences, changing your major is ridiculously easy. Basically, you go to an office and write on one form. Within a week, your major changes online. Intra-transferring between schools takes more work but that wouldn’t affect you with any of those majors.

I am not an IR major, but Lauren is right about the CAS aspect. You can switch your major pretty easy and most likely the electives for the degree in CAS are the same regardless of the major. You are technically under one major now anyway, and doing a double is completely possible. Minors are even simpler (5-7 classes).

Wow thanks for the responses. Greatly appreciated.
