What are the most difficult majors/options at Caltech? I feel that the mech E option/physics option seem to be pretty difficult, but what about options like biology, computer science, etc?

According to S1 physics is pretty tough.

purmou’s thread is still quite accurate, IMO.

My two cents:
Hardest majors in terms of difficulty (ie intellectually difficult):
Physics, Math, and Astrophysics (a superset of physics)

Hardest majors in terms of workload (ie lost of hard work):
ChemE (most requirements of any major at Tech) and EE

@OP, MechE is actually one of the easier options at Tech. It only requires ~192 units to complete and only a few of the classes in the major are considered difficult.

Science and math subsets are the most challenging.
