<p>Totally honestly, is it easier to get into Hopkins apply as a less popular major than as a more popular one, for example international studies. Also can you switch majors before the start of your first semester of freshman year even if it's a highly popular one.</p>
<p>Though no adcom officer will ever admit it, I have heard on several occasions that showing an interest in something less popular will make them more lenient.
Yeah, letting Hopkins know you're pre-med or something will make them read your application VERY critically. You don't actually declare a major until the end of sophomore year, anyhow.</p>
<p>thanks so much! just wondering then if you don't have to declare your major until sophomore year than can you basically pick and choose all of your classes freshman year or do they have to be centered around a certain area of interest/major</p>
