Hello everyone,

I'm planning to apply to JH, but I had few questions to ask you guys, the experts :D

Are we allowed to change majors, after the application? For example, I'm not really sure what major I want to take, Chemistry or Biology or Biochemistry...etc. In the application, IF i apply as a Chemistry major, do i HAVE to take that major, or is it possible to change?

Thanks in advance!

I went to an information session when I visited JHU and the person said it was very easy to switch your major (you just need a piece of paper signed to switch). This applies to every major except BME (Biomedical Engineering) which is an impacted major and students who want to be in BME have to indicate that it is their first choice on their JHU supplement when they first apply. =) Hope that helped

Wow, those Hopkins Forums are so helpful. If I were applying to Hopkins I would definitely refer to them if I had any questions. And oh cool … you can actually post questions there too; how innovative.

(Sorry I needed to be a bit sarcastic. It boggles my mind why applicants still use CC to ask admissions questions when the Hopkins Forums exist. I guess asking an actual admissions counselor who works for the University is too easy.)
