Make it Miami question

How important do you think it is to travel to a Make it Miami day… if he’s already decided on Miami? He doesn’t think he needs to go since he’s already committed and doesn’t need to hear the “sales pitch.” I tend to agree, but don’t want him to miss out. Thoughts?

We attended Make it Miami President’s Day weekend. It was helpful for my daughter because she’s still trying to decide but definitely unnecessary if your son is already decided. I don’t recall learning anything that we couldn’t have read on the website. It was really just another opportunity to get a sense of the feel of the campus.

@buzzlightyear3, Thank you so much. I’ll quit nagging now. Well, about that anyway.

I’m a freshman girl here and I don’t think it’s a big deal! I went last year and I had already decided I was going to go here. It was nice for me because I got a chance to walk around campus because I’m not from Ohio, and I also met my roommate. But if he doesn’t want to go, I wouldn’t worry about it. You’re not missing out!

I agree with @buzzlightyear3, we went to the same one over President’s Day weekend. It was very useful for my son since he was deciding between 3 schools. By the end of the day he had picked Miami. It was also, our first time being on campus.
