Make me happier, I got in here, but not to the 5 other schools that I wanted to go to more than this one. What's good about UCLA that should make me feel better about going instead of the others?

Read the UCLA forum Basic Rules. It has 101 reasons why you should go to UCLA. Maybe that will help.

I wish UCLA could come on here so they could see the great merit in rescinding their invitation to you.

whaaat? a little uncalled for srabiee

I have friends who wanted to go to other schools but ended up at UCLA and are very happy there now. The campus is beautiful, the food is one of the best in the nation, athletics is great, and it's one of the top public universities in the nation! I would also highly recommend that you visit if you haven't already done so.

I wasn't too happy to come to UCLA because I wanted to goto Cal's business program. I fell in love with UCLA for all the reasons vic said.

Well, it's stupid to apply to a school without knowing anything about it. I'm not saying it's not okay to have safeties, but, seriously, what a dip****

UCLA wasn't my first choice either. I applied to a whole bunch of Ivy Leagues, plus Stanford and JHU, and only three UCs; I got in to the UCs (and none of the other schools; there were six of them) and I didn't have much of a choice...Berkeley, SD, and LA. I chose UCLA, and now I couldn't be happier about that choice; there was a lot to discover about UCLA that I never knew when I actually applied. Don't bag on this person too much...

I mean, I applied because it has hot girls and a good econ program. Obviously I'm not depressed about going there, just ****ed at not getting in to the other places I thought I would. I can see how I came off like a douche, but meh. Anyway, do appreciate the people helping me out. The "top food" thing is a big plus I was not aware of :)

Wow, I never heard of UCLA having a good econ program. If someone told me that before I came here, I probably wouldn't have been so disappointed. Regardless, I love it at UCLA.

You might want to temper that though, since however AWESOME UCLA food can be, it will get old sooner or later...

It still hasn't gotten old yet, but I guess I'm falling under the "later" category. Places like Rendezvous and B.Cafe are super old though.

Well my first choice was Columbia, but I'm perfectly happy with UCLA. I'm not ecstatic naturally about being rejected from my first choice, but welll that's the meaning of Far Reach/ Reach / Match / Safety, =P it's never nice to be rejected by a Far Reach, and that distracts you from feeling lucky about getting into other excellent institutions. I'll probably get over my dissapointment in a few days and get to love UCLA more, stares at pictures of the beautiful campus...

UCLA has a really really good sports program... And it's really cheap compared to privates.

Also the same as most people - UCLA wasn't my first choice (Berkeley was) but I ended up rejecting CMU Comp Sci and came here for various reasons, even though I have to pay 40k

Ended up loving the school and I'm 100% happy that I chose UCLA over my other choices =)

The list of pros about the school is endless - I guess you can either read about them over the board or just come to UCLA and learn to love it from your own experience.

gao.........hahaha. you gonna come over when heroes starts again?

WOW. ALVIN FRICKIN CHOIEE

of course i'm coming over and way to stalk me on the forums :O

rockville maryland!?!? I'm rockville Maryland!!
