like, would i be compared to the entire pool of students who took the world history ap exam?
or just with the ones that took the alternate makeup exam? </p>

<p>It seems like the perception of make-up exams is they are harder. Make-up exams, I would think, do not test a cross section of AP students. It instead is the test for high-achieving students with conflicts with other exams. This might make the test taking pool more competitive, and it may be harder to score high since the exams are curved. Since it’s a different test, you’ll be compared to the make-up exam cohort. </p>
<p>I personally think that the difficulty of make-ups is overrated. The AP program is <em>designed</em> to be fair to all students, so how much of a disadvantage can we be for taking the make-up exams? I don’t think it would be much, if any at all.</p>
