<p>I did a summer enrichment program last summer that culminated in a final project that we designed from scratch (it was NOT a school requirement or anything, but it was a program pursued completely unrelated to school). </p>
<p>I built a NXC graph plotter that could print letters and such from scratch and programmed it along with a partner (from my understanding, groups are O.K. as long as you explain your individual role). It took about a week [hours everyday] with lots of work to complete it, and I have videos and pictures and code (in NxC, Not eXactly C). </p>
<p>Would this be alright to submit? I'm iffy only because it's supposed to be "unstructured", and even though we designed it from our own accord, it was done in the setting of a program (albeit, not for a "requirement").</p>
<p>Any advice is appreciated!</p>
They should know that the context is through the program and not an independent project. If you can submit with that information, I don’t see the harm.</p>
