Maker supplement (Java program)

I’m planning on submitting a Maker portfolio for one of my Java programs. Programming is something I really like doing so I want to include it in my application.
However, I’m unsure of which program to document and submit. I’ve made lots of programs, and the ones I consider to be best are my encoder-decoder program and a simple graphic game.
I enjoyed creating both of the programs, and I’m not sure which one to submit.
The problem with the encoder-decoder program is that I also used it for my school’s assignment, so I’m not sure whether it will accurately demonstrate what I do outside the school. On the other hand, I programmed the game just for fun during the summer.
In terms of complexity, I think they’re fairly similar however the encoder-decoder may be bit more complex because it involves working with system-managed text files, and the game involved lots of 2D graphics but doesn’t involve text files.
Which one would be better?

I’d submit the game. I actually considered submitting my Java program, too, but it seemed too low-tech (I wrote a chat program, but it wasn’t even web-based). Also, the one I wrote for my internship wasn’t allowed :(. Honestly, though, do what you think is best.

@emmajay Do you think a supplement with low-tech will hurt? My game isn’t that complex either, it’s basically eat-the-food-and-jump-over-the-obstacle type game.

I think it will be fine. A lot of students have no programming experience at all, and this shows that you were interested enough to compile all your code into a pdf/video.

Just submit both

The maker portfolio can only help you, it won’t hurt you. Only put one in, and I would choose the one you did for fun
