Making a club at school, need help writing the proposal?

i'm forming an animal welfare club at my school. it will be geared towards helping endangered animals and that sort of stuff. i'm actually really passionate about helping animals so i'm not doing this just for colleges.

i haven't spoken with the assistant principal yet but before contacting her about making the club, i want to have a written proposal for her reference and just to seem more prepared. i know that you have to have a mission statement and goals and stuff but what else should i put in my club proposal?

thanks :)

Are you a vegetarian?

No, the club isn’t going to be about vegetarianism, more about conserving wildlife/ spreading awareness about animal cruelty. and no i am not vegetarian unfortunately.

Don’t make a club about endangered animals. No spreading awareness bs. Do something concrete. Find homes for pets at animal shelters, that sort of thing.

What makes endangered animals more special to the ground cows in your burger?

*more special than the

I don’t want to make it solely about vegetarianism since I want every animal lover, vegetarian or not, to join. But sure, I am very against the methods of slaughter used in most of the slaughterhouses today. I wanted to do endangered animals so that we could collaborate with the Green Club since endangered animals and saving the environment go together. But it wouldn’t just be endangered animals.

We are planning on raising awareness and fundraising but I want to do more. But I don’t know what to say on the proposal about the other stuff. Any ideas?

I think that a “welfare club” may be a little too controversial (as you can see). Have you considered FFA\AG (Future Farmers of America)? There are many opportunities to work with animals by being involved in FFA. You can received several awards and degrees while in high school, you get to work first hand with different animals, and it’s a little less controversial. You might want to suggest the “Ag (Agriculture) Program” to your school principal. Here is the link:
