making a list

I'm looking for colleges with a dance department, biology department, and french department. I like the secluded campus feel and i've already selected some schools to look at. Right now i'm very interested in the following:

Mehlenburg
Skidmore
Scripps
Vassar
Goucher

I do many types of dance such as ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, etc. I dance about 15 hours a week. I am looking for a good major or minor where I would be about to major in something else...either dance or biology. I'm not exactly sure.

I do a lot of community service and I play tennis as well. I'm not sure I will continue tennis in college. After senior year, I will have completed AP French Language and AP French Literature so I will prefer a French program that will take me far.

I am in the top 10 in my class (currently 6/400) I take many AP and Honors classes and get A's in them at a public school.

I have no preference on location at the time being, I am just looking for good suggestions to consider.

Thank you for the help.

Middlebury could be a great option. Solid dance program, strong in the sciences, the Mecca of language study, secluded...Seems almost perfect for you.

thanks, i am looking at the website for middlebury right now.

@ janemac

Northwestern. They have a very good dance department in the School of Communications and strong women's tennis program.

@ tenisghs

what do you know about biology and french there?

Honestly, Northwestern is going to have solid programs in just about everything, including biology and French.

I would have thought it would be a bit too large for you though, as you seem to be oriented towards LACs.

yeah, i do like LACs.

Northwestern isn't huge like USC or public U but it's still a lot bigger than LACs. It may not be a good fit for you. It does have many creative/performance type students since they have good film, music, and theater programs also.

thanks, it seems strong, but not right for me. thanks for the suggestion. i tend to be more comfortable in smaller settings. Northwestern might be a little overwhelming for me.
