these are just personal recommendations, but:
is it better to make your classes really close together (like all within 10 min of eachother) or to space them out so you have like an hour inbetween classes? i won't be having a bike or anything so it would just be walking

would you recommend getting classes in the morning, midday, or afternoon, or late afternoon (like after 5 PM)

also when are most on campus jobs, like what times (i mean morning, midday, night)? because i would like to get one but i don't want my classes to get in the way.

i used the practice schedule planner thingy and it gives me final exam dates for everything but math 10A. is this normal?

Dude, it totally depends on you and how you want things to go. Experiment with your schedule. If you like just going through class in one swoop, have them close together. If you like having time after class to talk to profs or people in your class, separate them. Same thing with times. Do whatever works for you but also consider professors. They’re not all created equal.

As for your math 10a final, the math finals are scheduled according to the 4th hour time (ie, the latest math 10a class of the day) so it’ll be at 7pm on Wednesday of finals week. The Schedule of Classes has more information that the Class Planner.

I like to take classes back to back, but I never like to have more than 3 straight hours of class (I get really bored/tired/hungry). The bad thing about having 1 hour or 1.5 hour breaks is that I can’t much to do during them (unless you alot it for a meal or something). I think you will come to find your preference after your 1st or 2nd quarter.

Sign up for classes at times when you are most likely to go them. Not a morning person? Don’t take morning classes. Like to go out at night? Don’t take night classes. This one really is all up to you. I personally hate night classes because I don’t like having to go to class when everybody else has just finished. It makes me kinda sad.
