Anyone else make stupid errors that they shouldn't have made? Man, I'm coming down hard on myself for making a stupid error in math that I definitely should have gotten... grr...

Same here! – once again it’s the math section. I could go on forever…

I couldn’t even take my mind off of it last night.

The math questions were super tricky - I missed two that I know of already :(

Made 2 silly mistakes that I know of this time. Found the volume instead of surface area. Last time made 3 and got a 730. There hasn’t been a question on the SAT math which I didn’t know but I haven’t gotten an 800 a single time due to effing silly errors.

Do you think that colleges take that into account when looking at scores. I means it is obvious if you get a 500 you don’t know the material but if you get a 710 you know what you were doing and probably made a few careless errors.

It does make a difference. A 710 doesn’t show us the difference between a person who didn’t know 4 questions on the test and got them wrong and the person who made 4 careless mistakes but knew the question.

^I’m hoping that getting a 800 in Math II will override a 710 in SAT I M. The 800 would still show that you know the Math and hopefully convince them that you just made a bunch of silly mistakes in Math I?

I am the same way. I always make at least 1 or 2 stupid mistakes on the math section. usually I know everything I just always make mistakes and its horrible cause it ruins your score.

ttyl8: I hope too. I’m taking Math II in November.

^I know lol It’s very possible to get 800 in Math II and a 5 in AP Calc BC but 710 in SAT I M.
