So, I'm a junior and just switched to a new school (private) this year. I really, really like it but I feel like I need some friends outside of school. I unfortunately don't have any old friends because of switching schools as a kid and choosing to befriend the wrong girls in middle school (catty ones). How do I go about making friends outside of school? I think that being on a sport team would be my best bet but besides being quite a non-athlete, I'm very much into the arts and individual sports such as hiking and tennis. Ideas, please??

Craigslist. If you are interested in male friends, go to the female seeking male section; otherwise, go to the female seeking female section.

^LOL.
(Um, neither gump nor MIT asked)

Yeah, I go to a small private school. Fat chance is my answer.
On the other hand, if you really try and take art classes, talk to those people, take every off-campus opportunity (like conferences or something), go to parties/other school dances, it’s possible. Unlikely.

Crowded bar + Fake ID + Alcohol = You are bound to find some new friends.

However, CC + I cannot condone this illegal activity, so do it at your own risk :D

Any outside-of-school activity.

I have a couple close friends from piano rehearsals, and other people I’ve known through academic competitions. Be active outside your school and you’ll naturally find friends.

Go to events from other schools that not yours, like parties and games or something.

Church.

Tanchar.
