how do you make new friends? like what would you say to them and how would you approach them?</p>

<p>But yeah, I essentially agree with Millancad. Talk to someone, or a few people, and branch out from there. It’s all about connecting the dots, dude(tte). If you’re not really into friend-making, it may be difficult, but you’ve got to start somewhere.</p>
<p>Walk in to first period, find someone who looks alone and ask them if you can sit next to them. Then introduce yourself. (: That’s how I became friends with the new girl in my english class last year.</p>

<p>The term “new friends” would suggest otherwise, although that can be interpreted two ways.</p>
<p>Dress nicely. Clean clothes. Nobody wants to be friends with a dirty person, because they will stereotype you as a druggie.
If you are a girl, wear a nice skirt or casual sundress with a necklace or bracelet.
If you are a guy, clean jeans and t-shirt will do. Ties or dress shirts are excessive.</p>

<p>At an inner-city public school (or, I would think, at most public schools), dress however you want.
Pajamas are discouraged, but tolerated.</p>

<p>I’d follow the advice in the previous posts, but as important as it is to meet and spend time with people in your new school, you MUST make sure you’re spending time with people you actually see yourself befriending.</p>
