Making it Work

Anyone been in/will be in a long distance relationship? Mine will be USC-TAMU, so it's quite a bit of distance.

My question is if anyone knows of any really cheap airlines or agencies that may cater particularly to students. or just something cheap in general. thanks!

I heard "Dump him or her before you get cheated on or deserted" is pretty cheap. In fact, it might even be free.

Designers?

I have two friends who are still going at it. One goes to Caltech and the other MIT (so a lot more distance) and the guy's mom moved after senior year so he doesn't really live in the area anymore. It can be done, but more chances than not, you break up at the end of the summer so one doesn't cheat on the other.

I met a girl during a summer program when I was at UC Irivne and I was still going to Carnegie Mellon. We were able to make that work during the school year. This last year I started grad school at Caltech and she was still at UC Irvine, so we were only about an hour's car ride apart. In the fall, she'll be starting grad school at UCLA, so it'll be a little closer. Sadly, this summer she got an internship in Arizona, so we're back to being long distance. :(

You and your partner should look into using Skype for it's video chat capabilities. Definitely makes things easier when you don't actually get to see the person more than a few times a year.
