<p>Of course you're going to need money for entertainment with friends. Does getting an on campus job eat away at your social life? Because I want to have money but I want to be able to use that money with friends.</p>
<p>work full time during summer, once school starts you have a couple of thousands. then you can have money and use that money with friends once school starts 
have fun</p>
<p>I had several friends who worked in the dining halls, post offices, and at the front desk of some of the departments. They never really complained about their campus job eating away at their social life, but sometimes it did cut into their ability to study (mostly for those who worked at the DH). Otherwise, they loved having jobs because they were able to meet other people + had pocket money to spend when we went out.</p>
