Hello everybody,
My name is Nicholas Kraut, and I am a senior at East Chapel Hill high school in NC. I have had a lengthy decisions process, and I think I am ready.
While it was tough learning I had been waitlisted at all 4 of the most selective schools I applied to (Emory, William and Mary, Lehigh and Tulane) I was glad to get my first acceptance last October from the University of Pittsburgh. Since then, I was accepted with the trustee scholarship to the college of Allegheny, and because of a late mid-year transcript from my school, a cancelled University of Toronto application which is now in the appeal process (with no idea of a decision date).
While I thought being a good student with a 3.8 UW gpa, 5.06 W gpa, 1500 SAT, and a 33 ACT as well as 2 varsity sports would get me into more schools, I am very grateful for the experience and feel good about being waitlisted at so many schools, as I find it motivating and take no personal offense.
After careful consideration, I think I am ready to enroll at the University of Pittsburgh, even though I have yet to receive a decision from the university of Toronto. As a student interested in molecular biology and genetics, I think University of Pittsburgh will offer a good environment to grow as a student and a great place for internships that will help me get into grad schools and jobs in the future.
What I ask from you guys is any last comments in which you guys either might offer support to my decision or any last minute advice or warnings in regards to my decision.
Thank you
