My teacher just sent in a teacher recommendation to UNC via postal mail, and she told me to tell her when UNC recieved it to make sure it got mailed properly. How can I find out if UNC recieved it? Just call them up? She sent it in on Wednesday, so I'm guessing it'll take a week or two to process it and put it in my file?

BTW, I asked this before I'm pretty sure, but just to make sure: It's okay to send teacher rec. letters and transcripts/sat scores before you submit your application right?

I hope so since my son had everything submitted before his app. I don't think they tell you if everything is received until the app is received.

At least one of my daughter's recs was sent before she applied last year, and it didn't create any problems.

About your original question, you should be able to call up the office of admissions and check that your application is complete, and whether anything is missing. Also, at my school, I have the option of going to the counseling office to get that information, which is nice.
