Making the "most" out of my education

Dear all,

Like many others, I am currently having difficulty picking classes next semester.

I am currently majoring in Asian Studies. The interdisciplinary nature of the major has allowed me the privilege of taking classes from various disciplines such as history, political science, and of course the language. However, I am starting to realize that I need to start making myself more "marketable" to employers and am unsure about what classes I should be taking next semester to improve my chances.

At the beginning of college I was determined to go to law school. Thus m strategy was to simply major in what I loved the most (Asian studies) to maximize my GPA and enjoy my college semester. While I have so far achieved my academic goals, I'm starting to realize that law school is a huge commitment, will take considerable effort to break into the T14 tier of schools, and is by and large something I should really think hard about and make sure I want to do before I actually do it.

As a result, I'd like to round myself and make myself "marketable". I haven't taken any quantitative courses since freshman year (just Calculus and Economics as GE requirements) and I fear that my relative lack of quantitative courses will kill me when recruiting comes around. I have no regrets majoring in Asian Studies and have no intention of changing my major. I'd ideally like to work in Asia and I personally don't feel I'd write as good of a senior thesis on any other topic.

Nevertheless, I would like to make the most of my 6 elective courses to ensure that I have palatable post-graduate options. I've also heard it might be wise to start my career in the United States in the hopes of being transferred over...

In any event, I've narrowed down my options to the following paths

1) Dual majoring in Asian Studies/Government- I'm not quite sure what this would do to my employment opportunities, but I have heard from others that this would better prepare me for law school. My school is also widely-renowned for its government department, so that might work as a good job signal. I don't really know.

2) Majoring in Asian studies and using the rest of my courses to take courses such as Accounting, Statistics, Finance, etc. Again, the vibe I'm getting from most of my classmates is that unless I major in/have a good amount of quantitative courses, I'm basically screwed.

I'm thinking I may do the latter, but am unsure what classes I should take. I'm not going to be majoring in economics/finance/accounting/etc, so I'm basically on my own in terms of choosing what classes to take. Would anyone have any suggestions?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
