What is the best way to make up for a failing grade in one semester of an AP class??
I am aiming at schools such as:
UNC
Duke
etc…
And by the way, that happend at the beggining of my sophomore year

<p>I don't think you should worry about it all that much. If it was JUST that one class. If there is no trend.</p>

<p>Did you have a good excuse for the bad semester? Usually, there's a spot on the app and recommendations that lets you explain any extenuating circumstances.</p>

<p>my SAT is 1360</p>
<p>many ECs (several positions)
lots of volunteer work..</p>
<p>did a lot of correpondence courses online as well...</p>

In any case, I think you might have a shot at UNC if you explain why you had a bad semester. Not Duke.</p>

<p>If you don't get into UNC-CH (I think you have a chance though), I would choose Elon. It's a great school.</p>
