Hey, I just applied for housing and I was wondering if anyone on here was also looking for a roommate. I applied for double and triple rooms as well as a triple-room mini-suite. I was thinking that if we requested to live with a roommate, it would increase the likelihood of getting our top choices in housing. If any guys are interested in any of those housing option, let me know!

I requested for a double with a friend. We received a triple in the units and this happened to a lot of people. I would say that if getting a double is YOUR first priority, and you don’t apply for a roommate, and you end up getting a triple, you can request to move into a double (get onto the waitlist, contact reshall@berkeley.edu).

It’s significantly easier to transfer rooms when you are by yourself. Plus, when you leave, your roommate(s) won’t take it personally. As opposed to if you request WITH a person and you get say, a triple, and then you request to move out…you’ll be a pretty big doosh :)
