[Male Testosterone] Average Male CC Benchpress!

I'm not quite sure if I'll get replies, if any. But I've seen track althetes here, and the 100M sprinters, which we all emphasize working on our strength and speed ratio. So let's have some fun! Honor code here, if you have a large benchpress we're going to believe you and be amazed :)

On a curious sidenote, can everyone tell me how much they weigh also along with their benchpress?

I weigh 130.

(Stolen from Average CC SAT Score!)
Model your post on the post below:
COUNT: 1 (take count from previous post)
Benchpress: 195
0 + (190 - 0)/1 = 190
NEW AVERAGE: 190
New COUNT: 2

i think we should do this in the same way that Adam Carolla does radio math to figure out peoples' weights...take whatever you say your benchpress is and subtract 10 to get your real benchpress. i weigh 140 and bench 155 (aka, 145) but i dont play any sports...

new average is ([190+145]/2) = 167.5 ... btw Jeff, you bench 190 or 195? cuz you say 195, then switch to 190 in the OP...

maybe the inner weightlifter in me is showing, but what's with that average formula? what are you supposed to plug in for the zeroes?

Crap can't edit orginal posts.

Ok the formula would be.

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=31891&page=5&pp=20%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=31891&page=5&pp=20</a></p>

which then would be using

Current Average + (Your Bench Press - Current Average)/2 = Number
190 + (145-190)/2 = Number

Which does equal 167.5

Sorry, the 195 was what I was intending to for the gym tommorow, which is now officially today at 12:54. Just wasn't thinking too straight. Anyone else? Cmon, there's got to be a lot more, I've seen a bunch of Track Posts, that alone should rake in some of ya.

you know what we SHOULD do

we should keep a running total of total lbs benched by all CC members...that way not only is it easier to do averages...but it'd be, uh, cooler. at the end we could be like, CC benches a total of 2352 pounds. we are beastly =P

so the current total is 335

and the new formula for averages is: (current total + your bench)/(total number of people)

Yes ok then lol, but it seems no one is particapating :( Cmon your D1 Track Althetes, I know CC isn't all brains, its brawn!

250 bench.

400 squat.

225 clean.

585 total. ok we need to set a goal of 5000lbs. ladies if you're reading this, we need you too!

(nice clean btw, that is very impressive!)

315 bench
626 leg press
295 clean
405 squat

300 bench.............

1200! We're getting there faster and faster.

Guys, do me a favor and add it by yourselves? I don't want to spam post :( I don't mind adding it up, but its the fact that I seem to grabbing for more posts which gets me.

er.. i also weigh 178 lbs. Forgot to add that.

I don't know my bench press, but I can curl 40 lbs now. Freshman year I only benched like 120 or 130. (At the beginning of the year, I could only bench the bar. lol) Weight = 150

175 lbs, 310 bench

135 pounds, I can bench the bar.

I never get off the bench. Add 120 hours to the total for me.

Amen greygoo!!! The 35 lb bar!!!! Me too...

I thought the bar was 45? Lol

I can bench a whopping 135 (two 45's on each end)

Although, I am guilty of using a 25 and two 10's to make it look like more weight.... :)

I work out 4 times a week for about a year. I started out with my max at about 140. It's now 180.

Weight: 145
Height: 5'10"
Bench: 180

Nah, the one at my gym is 35. Man these things are freakin heavy...do you guys use protein supplements or something?

I can bench 200 lbs. at a bodyweight of 150.

The total: 2540
