Hey I'm looking at Mallory Hall in the Yulee area. Everything is basically full but I got a space here. I don't really know anything about it besides where it is located. Anyone have any experience here or heard anything good or bad?

My understanding is the community dorms are all pretty much the same…it really depends on the location…Mallory is close to the sororities if you are considering rushing…even the renovated dorms are not that much nicer…still small block rooms…I think it will all depend on who your roommate is and the people who end up living on the floor that year. My roommate and I picked Rawlings just because it is the most centrally located.

My son lived in Mallory and liked it a lot. It has a great location right next to Broward dining and was close to most of his classes. The dorm itself was clean and nice, and seems to have a less rowdy reputation than some of the other freshman dorms. An RA that we knew said that Mallory was the best housing experience that she had while at UF. In fact, I’ve always wondered why more people didn’t make it a first choice.

Thank you!! That is really good to know I was a little unsure but it looks like it’ll work out good.
