I have received numerous Malware Warning screens when attempting to view posts today on CC.
It seems that someone there should know about this and look into the problem. Please PM me and if needed I will take a screen shot of the warning.

We’re not seeing this, drae27. Is anyone else?
Thanks!
I haven’t seen any warnings, but I’m on an iPad and I don’t know if that makes a difference.
I saw one earlier. It appeared to be a warning for only one particular page. Is malware what ate the green boxes and the scales?
Thanks for the feedback.
@anouilh: Actually, we made the decision to disable the reputation system earlier tonight. You can read about that here: <a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/community-forum-issues/1456667-reputation-system-off-now.html[/url]”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/community-forum-issues/1456667-reputation-system-off-now.html</a>
I also got Malware detected today. My browser blocked malware attempt today from Netseer.com … if I remember the site correctly.
Apparently, many major sites have been affected by sporadic Netseer issues:
[Google</a> Chrome’s Netseer malware warning blocks websites, company says no virus distributed - The Denver Post](<a href=“http://www.denverpost.com/business/ci_22515730/malware-warning-citing-netseer-blocks-google-chrome-users]Google”>http://www.denverpost.com/business/ci_22515730/malware-warning-citing-netseer-blocks-google-chrome-users)
We don’t deal with Netseer, as far as I know, but it’s possible one of our legit advertisers uses them.
I haven’t seen this myself, despite surfing the site extensively in Chrome.
Does this have anything to do with iPad users being automatically redirected from the CC discussion forum to Twitter? Or just a coincidence?
YES! I got the warning screen (which is NOT legit) and clicked to close it and my whole computer (at work) was taken over by a screen claiming to be the FBI and asking me to pay money for pirated videos. There were misspellings, etc. I could not exit that screen even by rebooting. IT had to come up and do a reset and updated my anti-virus software. They said if you click on anything on those virus warning screens it will be a mistake! Go to task bar and close it.
Ugh, thanks for the warning, MoWC. That exact thing happened to me about a year ago, but I’d forgotten about it.
Hmmm. Strange things going on with malware warning screens and being redirected to Twitter today.
Yes, indeed, aquamarinesea. We’re trying to get this taken care of as soon as possible.
I didn’t get a warning screen, but got the “FBI” malware, anyway. I am IT, so I was able to fix it myself, but the scan killed about half the day. Gotta love it.
SteveC- Glad I have company with the FBI screen! See you in jail!
I got hit with the FBI malware on my office computer today with no warning. IT guy says he can’t fix it remotely and will pick up machine tomorrow. Can’t access anything! So far the rest of my networked machines are okay.
Hmmm. Power off. Power on. Tap F8 until you get the option to boot to safe mode with networking. Download and run a good malware scanner (bleepingcomputer.com recommended emsisoft’s emergency fix kit for this one). Reboot when it’s done.
