man, a d+. oh crap.

i hate ap european history, lol.

our history teacher recently died (though that did not affect my grade whatsoever) and it was very depressing and all... but HE GAVE ME A D+ on my second term?! oh my god, lol. i know it's a very cruel and evil and bad thing to say, but he even comes back to haunt me from the dead! (i did not like this teacher very much. but yes, i was sad when he died...)

arrrr. colleges don't see our TERM grades, and i'm gonna try pulling that (C first term, D+ second term...) up to a B-. magically. SOMEHOW. is it possible, when i suck at history? (and don't ask me why i took ap euro - i went momentarily insane during course selections)

that's my story for the day :O thank you for listening. (i needed to rant somewhere...)

Ohmygod. He DIED . . . . while teaching . .. . wow . . .thats reallyreally sad . . . and odd .. but moreso sad. I can't even imagine a current teacher of mine just dying, like in the middle of the year . .. was it like natural causes or he was having health problems ?. .. so sorry to hear, and sorry about the D+, too bad you can't go talk to him to let you do extra credit or something. wow that sucks. :(

I got a D+ in Reading/Math Enrichment in 6th grade.

I think it's funny.

I got a C in math and a C+ in physics this term, and a C in math fall term. It's not that big of a deal, if you have other solid grades. You're blowing this way out of proportion...

It sucks that you got a D+...

You got a D+ and the sun still came up the next day. That's a good lesson to learn. Sorry about the grade, but if you have good grades, generally, and good scores and all the rest, you'll be ok.

Oh jeez. I sometimes worry because like 1:2 or so of my teachers are over 60 and some of them have horrible health. My calc teacher slams down 5 or 6 sugary thermos of coffee per morning and smokes about 1.5 packs a day, that room smells horrible by the way.

my other grades aren't so peachy atm either lol (averaging C's in physics, B- range in ap chem, but solid A/A-'s in french/english...) sigh. junior year = majorly stresssed.

but thanks. you guys made me feeling better :)

and yeah, it was really sad because we were his only full year ap course... we were HIS class, lol. second semester just started, so his new classes didn't even know him that well yet, but we've had him for half a year ;(

it's rumored he died of a heart attack while entering grades into his computer... and he was only 32 years old! left behind a three-year-old boy and wife... and one of the healthiest people you would ever meet. (varsity baseball coach, active in community... but just a sucky teacher. lol)

I had a sucky Euro eacher too. The semester was so awesomely fun though. We did get-to-know-you sheets at least once a week, we listened to Jack Handy, watched Trigger Happy TV, and listened to music. For actual learning we watched Weber maybe 5 times and took notes twice. We didn't have study guides etc, because he felt he shouldn't make one thing more important than another... Yeah. It was most def a self-taught class.

Sophie is HOT! Just make sure you bring your mittens while visiting her.

My Spanish Literature teacher has failing health that has prevented her from doing much teaching-she will just arrive in class, sit down wearily, and ask us to read the selection. She might comment a few times if she is robust. When she is not-particularly as of recently because of heart problems-she will not show up, usually about 1 of every 3 days. And yes, she has handed out bad grades before, mainly because she is so tired she does not even read the work.
This compares nothing to my deadbeat 9th grade English teacher who randomly walked out of class at the beginning of second semester and did not come back, ever-and it took five weeks to find a sub, so the class was nonexistent.

Hmmm... My 9th grade English rocked. We once watched The Lion King all day, every day, for a week. It wasn't very hard to convince her that we stopped 1/2 an hour into the movie each time we started watching again.

She's been locked out of the room, had the door shut on her with a condom over the doorknob, been convinced that someone crawled up into the ceiling (when she was out of the room), had people smoke pot in her class, and the list goes on...

Aww .. . 3 year old boy :(
sick teachers are very sad to deal with

And yeah you Minnesotans are crazy, I've heard other similar stories from another Minnesotan

Junior year does suck precocious, we have to take all the SATs and atop of that, have AP course loads while paying attention to college . . . . it seems also that parents have mental breakdowns this year (at least for me) . . .. "this is your JUNIOR year, it will MAKE or BREAK you"

But we all go through bad grades, I particularly don't enjoy AP History classes either, you're not alone :) Good luck in bringing it up to a B

I came across this thread by accident but after reading your comments it is obvious you all need a reality check. I have three teenagers of my own and I know they don't always think before they speak their mind.

For those of you that are complaining on grades...............WAKE UP!
Your grades reflect what you put into them. I'm well aware that there are some teachers that have no business in the classroom. Some even write tests that are designed to test you on material not covered in class.

Have any of you concidered spending less time whining and spend more time studying? I truely do want you to enjoy time with your friends. You can enjoy high school more when you are less stressed about poor grades.

From a parents point of view, you (teenagers-mine included) are more fun to be around when you are less stressed. OK I'll get off my soap box now.
Best wishes to you all. :)

Yeah, community college ain't so bad.....
