Man...fashion sure is strange...

i think skinny jeans are cool, but colored skinny jeans…no.

Instead of baggy and instead of tight, why not wear clothes that just…fit?

Or is that just a way out there concept?

I wear clothes that fit.

Except when I’m at home, then I wear clothes that used to fit.

I don’t care how everyone dresses. I rarely dress casually so I don’t have to deal with all of the fads. I’ll be the one in the Hermes scarf, pearls, button down shirt, and nice skirt. I do have one pair of purple jeans which I have worn twice, but legit, I don’t like jeans. On the few occasions when I have worn jeans and a t-shirt I felt like a slob. But the more all of you dress alike, the more I stand out!

Unfortunately not in a positive manner ^

Lol jk, but I just looked up what a Hermes scarf is and seriously? And pearls? It seems so upper class senior center-ish lol.

I’ll be the one in the Hermes scarf, pearls, button down shirt, and nice skirt.

^ Aside from the specific brand of Hermes, and possibly the pearls, you will find a lot of people in East Asia wearing similar clothes so :stuck_out_tongue: You don’t stand out to the world XD

But seriously pearls… pearls are for special occasions ): wearing them on an everyday basis makes it less special ):

She sounds like one of those soccer moms who ties a sweater around her neck, and of course, complimented with khakis capris and a trunk full of sandwiches and Sunny Delight.

Hey, can’t we at least celebrate that fact that fashion is becoming more expressive these days, and that if people want to dress “metrosexually,” they are free to do so? It just reflects how there is a part of our society that is beginning to become more accepting of people with different tastes, that’s all. That doesn’t mean I’m a big fan of loud, crazy colors in excessive amounts but let them have fun! (and hopefully not get prostate cancer)
Haha sorry. I go a little overboard analyzing fashion trends.

P.S. Yes. Guys in collared shirts and dark wash straight leg jeans = yum.

They’re fresh water pearls. So they’re a lot less formal.

yes, i agree than guys in collared shirts and straight dark wash jeans look super sexy.
I also love clean Vans (classic not slip ons), American Apparel flex fleece jackets, and sweet jackets/blazers on guys. yummyyyy!

And Millancad…I feel ya, I almost always wear freshwater pearl bracelets with whatever I’m wearing, though I wouldn’t normally wear a hermes scarf, blouse, and skirt… haha

I usually dress in Urban Outfitters and American Apparel type wear but with a more california casual twist. I guess my idiosyncrasy is that I always wear an expensive ring with diamonds, pearls, sapphires, gold, amethyst, etc (don’t worry, they were all gifts).

anyway, back to the thread topic, skinnyish/fitted jeans are awesome. prostate cancer-inducing and super loose and baggy jeans are not.

i don’t get how wearing clothes that make you look like a whiny, overprivilaged white punk rebel kid are now the most gangster thing out there.

the tight jeans, the tight, thin hoodies…
ugh.

also, when did it become cool for girls to wear leggings as pants?

It was a trend from the 80s that apparently made a (now fading) comeback. They should have stayed in the 80s

(does anyone else think this thread has turned into a mini bragging competition?)

I think it’s hilarious how some girls wear bright and/or shiny leggings everyday.

Leggings are hot…on the right body.

^
haha. that reminds of that one paris hilton closet insider thing. she has 3 drawers full of tights. omgosh, that made me laugh.

it’s like some people know of one style, it’s worse than wearing the same clothes 4 days in a row. ;p lololol.

I don’t know if anyone remembers this, it was a very brief “trend” (not really) in the 90s, ass-cleavage jeans.

Now that was weird fashion.

Due to the current economic downturn, it’s safer for designers to bring back retro/vintage trend ideas such as leggings, so they can appeal to hesitant customers because these are trends that are recurring so consumers can invest in these pieces. Also, the industry is just churning out those preppy tailored pieces like peacoats. And colors such as coral (universally appealing) are really popular right now too. Plus, coral is so tropical and summery :]

Leggings are a great way to spice up an outfit, but I hate when girls wear them as pants because it seems that they always forget to wear the RIGHT underwear! Panty lines are a pet peeve of mine.
-shudder-

eh, I don’t care much about VPL

It’s sloppy and even worse when they are too tight or too loose. And really, really bad on people who shouldn’t be wearing leggings in the first place lol!
