Management Consulting and Undergrad Recruiting

So this upcoming school year I'll be a sophomore at U of I, and I'm really interested in getting a job in management consulting. But I've now realized that the top strategy consulting firms have minimal undergrad recruiting at U of I.

I'm wondering if it would be sensible to apply to transfer to Northwestern, UMich, or UVirginia in order to at least improve the chances of getting into management consulting. Or would I be better off trying to stand out at U of I and then trying to land a job through non-campus-recruiting avenues. I'd appreciate any advice or opinions.

Even though, I am not a business major, I know a little bit about consulting. Unless you can land an internship at a top consulting firm during your sophomore year, it would be really tough for you to get a full time job from U of I. I would suggest you transfer to other schools that top consulting firms heavily recruit from. It will only increase your chance.
