Management Information Systems vs Operations Management

<p>Which major do guys recommend? Can you get Procurement related jobs if you major in MIS and vice versa can you get Business Analyst jobs as an OM major?</p>

<p>I got to MSU and there are a lot of SCM but I'm want to get a second degree at OU in MIS or OM possibly. But I'm afraid the competition will be to high if I do OM because I'm competing with SCM from MSU and IE from UMich. If I do MIS I'm competiting with any Computer Science or Engineering major.</p>

<p>Can someone explain these two majors and which is better?</p>

<p>Both those majors have overlap for most entry level jobs. </p>

<p>Why do you want a second degree? did you complete a first one?</p>
