Management or Engineering

I'm undecided about which major I would like to pursue at Tech, and I would like to use my first semester to explore but I would appreciate any feedback! I am considering Management with concentration in Accounting or Finance OR Industrial Engineering. From what I've heard, these two majors are essentially the same but obviously IE will be more engineering based and more challenging. Anyone with experience in this topic, please let me know what you think!

On a side note, I'm not a big science person but I like math. Thanks!

I would recommend spending at least the first semester or two in ISyE.

The biggest problem that you’ll run into is that the math classes are different. Management majors can take the 1501/1502 sequence or the 1711/1712 sequence. I’ve heard that 1711/1712 are much easier. Industrial engineering majors have to take 1501/1502. If you start out in ISyE, you’ll be able to easily transition to Mgt later if that’s where your interests push you.

@dejacree thanks for your input :)
