So I was lucky enough to get into Stanford and am thinking about studying "Management Science and Engineering". Though the name is kinda vague, (I think) i'm really interested in the topic. I was wondering about job prospects...

can I become an investment banker? an actuary? a consultant (what is this)? or is this a bad time to join the financial industry? could I work in some type of an engineering firm? how hard is it to become any of the above? will grad school be important or necessary?

Is this major too broad or too easy? Would it be better to major in something more concrete (but of less interest to me) like electrical engineering? any advice from experienced engineers?

sorry about overwhelming you with questions, its just that i am generally clueless about college majors. thanks in advance for any insight you can give me!
