Management Science vs. Computer Science.

I am an incoming freshman to UCSD and I am admitted to Economics.

I am going to change my major either to Management Science or Computer Science.

I am interested in technology stuffs and software, but I am also interested in Business and want to get a MBA degree in the future.

As I know right now, Management Science is closer to Business than Economics. If I changed my major to Management Science, is it better to choose Computer Science or Business as my minor???

Computer Science. Do not do management science over computer science. Never do undergraduate management. Management is for MBA. If you want business, do:

Computer science + MBA. This is the greatest degree combination known to man.

Management science is NOT management. It’s operations research. It’s very quantitative and closer to IE than management. Pay no attention to people who tell you any course of study is always best or always worst, especially if the advice is ill conceived.

There are too many students giving career advice as if they were experienced professionals in industry
