Hi everyone, so I have been wondering how people manage to do sports and clubs at the same time. It’s not that I don’t have time to do both, but it’s the schedule conflict for club meetings and sport practices which are required everyday.
I am currently in tennis for fall season sport and we are required to do do practices everyday but I am also interested in joining clubs such as debate and academic decathlon, but I can’t skip practices or not go to meetings. I am also in NHS and key club but I am not required to go to meetings for those, so I can stay in those 2 clubs(I don’t really do anything other than volunteer for community service sometimes), but I really want to do debate and/or academic decathlon too.
My goal is to get into a top school in California so I’m assuming that I will need to be an officer for the clubs too, but that’s not possible while doing tennis because people are not gonna pick an officer that can’t even go to most of the meetings, I’ve thought of quitting tennis but I really don’t want to because I worke so hard to be better at it, so what should I do?
I am a sophomore this year btw it that helps and I am managing my time well while taking 2 AP classes so time is not a big deal. Also, I am not looking for getting into ivy leagues.
