Mandatory to finish most major requirements before application?

I am a CCC student. I always want to transfer as East Asian Studies major to UC Berkeley, but recently I found my interest in Global Studies of UCLA. So I didn't follow Global Studies major requirements before. Luckily, I have some GE classes match their requirements but I still have 4 major requirement courses need to be taken prior to transfer. I have 2 quarters left before Fall 09.

Is it true that UCLA requires transfer students finish all/most major requirement courses during the term that they apply??

As it is a highly selective major, does it mean the possibility of me being accepted is very low?

I am an international student and my current GPA is 3.9.

It depends upon major. Assist.org will usually state whether completion of the major prereqs is required or merely advised. But if the major is highly competitive, prereqs are probably required.

The more you can finish the better. UC Berkeley Haas requires that you have all requirments finished by the end of the Spring term.

Finish everything or you will be rejected from UCLA and UCB.

<cajun accent="">I guarantee.</cajun>

You don't have to finish everything DURING the term you apply (Fall) but you DO have to finish it by the end of spring.

thanks for answering =)
