So, people of HSL, let's discuss our favorite form of Japanese entertainment!

What manga/anime are you currently reading/watching? I used to like the really mainstream stuff like Bleach/Naruto, but I got sick of having to wait for fillers to end and lack of quality. Now I'm reading stuff like The World God Only Knows and Gosick (yeah, pretty girly stuff...). I also really liked Haruhi Suzumiya and Slam Dunk. Any one else like these series?

I still read naruto/bleach/one piece.
They’re still my personal favorites.
Slam dunk is one of the funniest manga I’ve ever read, it’s amazing.
Cage of Eden is pretty good, as is New prince of Tennis. I haven’t gotten to the world god only knows, but it’s in my list.

I love Haruhi. Own both seasons and the movie. The novels are out in America already. I only own Melancholy however.
Always prefer Japanese with Eng subtitles.
Currently watching Yuru Yuri. Not many anime have caught my interest this year but I am waiting for the Ouran live action.
Read The World Only God Knows. I can’t bring myself to watch for some reason.

i’m not into anime and manga at all. i’m only familiar with it cause i went through a naruto and one piece cartoon phase and one of my close girl friends loves manga and anime.

The ones I’m currently watching/keeping up with are Prince of Tennis, Deadman Wonderland, and Wolf’s Rain.

I used to watch Naruto, Death Note, DN Angel, Ouran HSHC, etc. Of course the “classical late 1990’s” anime like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon, Beyblade, etc. :)

Another anime and manga fan here. Currently, I am watching shows that are coming out recently, specifically Mawaru Penguindrum, and No. 6 (Maybe Kamisama Dolls/ Usagi Drop)
As for manga, I am currently following Pandora Hearts, Dengeki Daisy, Arakawa Under the Bridge, Silver Spoon, and World Only God Knows (this has been kind of repetitive as of late D: )
I’m not so much a fan of the longer shows due to repetitiveness and just more repetitiveness. (Except One Piece I hear, which I just don’t have the time to catch up)
As for Haruhi, I watched it and own the novels, but not a big fan of series (Its fun to watch though) What I really like is the movie, The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.

I don’t watch much anime, to be honest. And I don’t keep up with the latest trends either. But the one’s I’ve watched are Nichijou, Ristorante Paradiso, Rizelmine, and Azumanga Daioh. I’ve read SkipBeat, NANA, Daioh, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, and Yotsuba&!.
Does anyone else read light novels? Welcome to the NHK and TMoHS are really good.

For those of you who watch The World God Only Knows, which of the girls do you like most? Haqua is my favorite, but Tenri/Diana come at a close second I don’t really like Elsea.

I just finished watching Eden of the East, High School of the Dead, and Blood + but in all honestly I’ve never loved an anime more than I’ve enjoyed Eureka 7. It’s so hard to find an anime similar to it. It’s kind of disappointing. . .

I read all of Kekkaishi and watched the anime, absolutely amazing. Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood too, probably the best one). InuYasha (classic), Death Note (too dark and grim for me but still good), I actually need a new one lol…any recommendations as to which i should watch?

I recommend these anime by Shaft Studio: Arakawa Under the Bridge, Bakemonogatari, Sayonora Zetsubo Sensei. The animation may throw you off but just persevere for a few episodes. Btw, yes, the male leads have the same seiyuu.

Haqua is my favorite as well though I usually get sick of tsundere types - unless they’re kuuderes.

Anyone seen PSG? I will avoid using the full name since it’s…suggestive.
