Still nothing here in Seattle! Hopefully the envelope is really heavy so it is taking forever ?!
My son received his acceptance today, dated 12/17. We live about 20 miles north of The Bronx and it took three days to reach us.
Excited to say that I think we have another Jasper in the house!
@JBSeattle hang in there. Hopefully your package is on the way.
@KP514
Merit? Would you kindly tell me your son’s gpa, test scores?
Thank you!
Still waiting here as well! Congrats to the acceptances !
Hello.
My son was accepted the other day and received a nice merit gift. Does anyone know what kind of financial aid Manhattan typically gives?
Also, I don’t know much about the college, but from what I’ve read it seems to be a good school. My son will be majoring in computer engineering. Any information you folks have who are familiar with Manhattan would be greatly appreciated.
My son just got acceptance with chancellors award. Very happy over her ! Go jaspers !
Congrats @Gus12345!
Anything yet @JBSeattle?
@STEM2017
Yeah she got in with $25,100 scholarship!!!
I think she will likely attend Manhattan.
Congrats @Gus12345 and @JBSeattle, that’s great! What courses of study will your kids be studying?
@IWentToCollege the school website has a number of interesting videos showcasing some of the different student opportunities at Manhattan and some nice views of the campus setting. We’ve visited twice and I found it to be quite lovely. According to the tour guide that we had, it is often used in tv shows and movies when a “ idyllic college campus setting” is needed.
If people can attend admitted students days, we found them to be very helpful a couple of years ago when we were choosing between schools with my older child.
My daughter will likely major in Business/Marketing. She was admitted to the Business school.
Congrats!! JBSeattle !!! Wonderful to hear. My son has also been accepted into the business school as well. Most likely studying Finance. It’s getting real now ! So happy our kids all recieved the big green envelope! GO Jaspers!!
Hoping for an NCAA tournament run for The Jaspers!!!
Thanks, aimster888, for the information.
I see the basketball team is 2-9. Maybe there will not be an NCAA tournament run this year ?.
@ivgg1119 would you share your stats? Gpa, sat etcetera
I think we may visit in March.
@JBSeattle Accepted Students Days are April 3, 7 or 10 this year. If you can visit then they really make an all out effort to show students what life on campus will be like and have everyone available that you might need to talk to in order to get all of your questions answered. I think we will go on the 7th. If you can’t visit for Accepted Students Day, but can go another time be sure to ask the admissions counselor to help set up appointments to talk to any of the department chair people or other administration people that you have questions for. Sometimes they can arrange for your child to do an overnight visit in a dorm. When you guys are coming from so far away you really want the full overview to make the trip worthwhile. Sorry, you probably already know all of that stuff. I didn’t know about Accepted Students Days until we went through this whole process with my older child two years ago and I was impressed with how much effort they went to in order to show off their schools. It was a fun, positive experience…even at the schools that he ultimately declined.
