Manhattan College for engineering?

Does anyone know about this school?
I'm not sure if I'll have time to go look at the school or not before i start applying next year, but I've never heard of this school.
Can anyone tell me anything about it? specifically it's engineering program?

Yes. Manhattan has a long and storied history in engineering. Its a very, very strong program. Its a wonderful school in Riverdale, the posh section of the North Bronx, next to the Park, with views of the Palisades. Its a very pretty, though small campus.

Its new President is the former dean of Fordham College at Rose Hill and a PhD from UNC-Chapel Hill. The first non-religious president in Manhattan’s history (its a Christian Bros school.)

Manhattan is also a very good basketball school and is always very competitive.

I know people there through friends at Manhattan, in the engineering program and its a stellar program and very rigorous.

My father graduated from Manhattan in 1945 with degree in electrical engineering. He also got his PE.
I was told years afterwards that having a PE was unusual for that period- maybe the school pushed it?
At any rate, it has a solid engineering program and good alumni connections , both for the engineering and business schools. If you are planning to be in the tristate (NY/NJ/CT) area , this could be a plus.

My alma mater sends two students to Manhattan to study engineering on full scholarships every year.

It’s certainly a respectable choice if you were to receive such a scholarship.
