Manifesting ECs such as graphic design, web design, digital music, etc.

I design graphics, code websites, and make techno music. In fact, I consider those among my foremost passions and talents, and I spend a great deal of time on each. However, I really can't think of a way to include them on a college application besides writing about them in an essay, which I don't want to do because I feel that they're not important enough.

I'm thinking of founding a Digital Design club in my school next year that will encompass graphics, websites, video, and music, but what else could I do to show colleges my passion in those activities?

great idea with the club, I'd say think of a business-even if you are the only one designing. A friend of mine has similar talents and she creates websites (pretty big money too!) and designs flyers for libraries, etc.

I'd also say to look around and to tell EVERYONE you can about this-all the people I know who have great jobs, lives, etc, tell people what they're passionate. You never know what you can do.

Also, check with your computer teacher and see if they know of some school service, like making banners, flyers.

Just list "Graphic design" under your list of ECs; they don't necessarily have to be clubs.

If your planning to major in Graphic Design, save it for your portfolio!

This thread is three years old…chances are, he no longer needs the advice.
