<p>hi i'm currently doing another degree in australia and want to study a music course of some sort once I finish. i'm looking at relocating to NYC and try out for the extension diploma at mannes college (piano).</p>
<p>I wonder what kind of standard they expect for the EDPL. i'm assuming it would not be as high as in the college division. I've been doing pieces such as Haydn's sonata, Bach WTC, Ravel's jeax d'eau, prokofiev sonata in d minor, some brahms, Mozart concerto in d minor.</p>
<p>how do people find the EDPL? are you enjoying it? how are you finding the teaching, the curriculum etc? any replies would be much appreciated =)</p>

<p>We offer three programs of study:
Continuing Education: For students interested in taking individual courses in instrumental and vocal performance, composition, theory, music history, early music, opera, music technology, and career development provided at flexible hours. Private lessons are not available.</p>
<p>Extension Diploma: A certificate program for students wishing to pursue a systematic music curriculum at the conservatory level. The core of the Extension Diploma (EDPL) program includes private lessons in your major instrument, music theory instruction, and an ensemble/group performance class, as well as various performances and recitals throughout the year.</p>
<p>ESL+Music: The ESL+Music Certificate program is for international students for whom English is a second language, and are interested in pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in music in the United States. ESL+Music helps these students to improve their English proficiency or TOEFL score in order to qualify for a degree program at a conservatory, college, or university. This program, offered through the Mannes Extension Division, is also suitable for students who would like to refresh their English language skills and adjust to university life in the United States before beginning a degree program.</p>
