wut does it mean that u r deferred and need manual review from UIUC? i didn’t apply early and right after i submitted my application before the december deadline, my status was deferred-manual review, has anybody else gotten this?

bump, yee haaaaaaaaa bump!!1

i got that too. what this means is that YOU ARE NOT DEFFERED (impossible since they have rolling admissions). This is good, in fact. What this means is that they have a person reading your application (hence the MANUAL review). So you are being reviewed. You are not deffered! Good luck and hope you get in!

oo, i c, my dad was telling me that i probably did not meet their auotmatic-in criteria, i read some other posts, some ppl with really high numbers got an acceptance letter 2 weeks after they submitted it (they did EA), what is your stat? mind to share?

bump(@:@)bump

hmmmmm i have no idea... i sent mine in ON the 15th haha and today is christmas (10 days later) and i saw your post so i decided to look at my application summary and this is what it isaid... Admit Term: Fall 2005 - Urbana-Champaign
Admit Type: Regular Admission
Decision: Admit
Level: Undergrad - Urbana-Champaign
does this mean that i got in???? so confused!! i dont see why they wouldnt send me a package or something...and why it would happen so soon. i heard about it going through a computer and my grades are pretty high and i got a 1400 on the sat... but i dont know... any help appreciated.

ya...... u got in..... congratulations!!!!!!

for real?? ah thanks so much...! i hope youre right even though i cant believe it myself till i see the package. i hope they give me lots of mulaaaaaaa

It's weird.. it all depends what school you applied to. Most everyone I know that was basically a shoe-in for LAS got in (myself included) right away. I had a 1470.. but they only saw my 1400 and I got my letter back like 2 weeks after. My cousin and a lot of my friends haven't found out decisions either.. even though they applied right around November 15th. At the same time, the #3 girl at my school with a 28 on her ACT got in 1-2 weeks after she sent her app... just recently. I don't really see a strict pattern.. so good luck to those not yet accepted.

bump, bump, bump!

everything depends on how soon you get the letter. for example, if you applied to their engineering department, processing should be a little quicker because they have a lot of readers. if you applied Liberal Arts itll take a little longer. They will post the decision online before you get the letter.

cool, do you how long does it take to hear an answer from them for regular admission? my stat is not strong at all, here is the link to my stat if you are interested :) thanks for the post http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=20608
